Copiers and Printers
Copiers
If you’ve been working in a typical office scenario for any amount of time, you probably would like to upgrade the office printer. In fact you probably wouldn’t mind if they would upgrade the office photocopier as well. Most people simply put up with the old pieces of equipment until they are on their last leg.
Every office has that one copier that’s been there longer than anyone. It was first purchased for the company in the early 1800’s and it hasn’t been updated since. You pour a gallon of toner into it every day at 8:00 and try to coax another day out of it.
Imagine that you have a very important appointment in about 10 minutes on the other side of town. You’re almost ready to go, but you have to copy some handouts for the meeting. You’ve got the original one on your desk and you grab it and run into the copy room. Your old nemesis, the photocopier from the depths of Hades, is sitting in the corner. You’ve tangled with him before, to no avail. You’re just hoping and praying that today it will work. You dream that today will be the day that you can put the handout on the top, push copy, and it will actually work as it’s supposed to.
You open the lid and the rusty hinge sounds as if it’s laughing at you. You place the handout on the glass and type in the number of copies you want. You need 10 copies. The copier starts, and everything is going great. You think you might have actually won this time! Then it happens. Everything that you feared came true. Suddenly the copier stops once it’s printed off three copies. You look at the screen and see some random lights flashing. Since you didn’t major in Egyptian hieroglyphics, you have no idea what it’s trying to tell you. A red light blinking beside an orange semi-circle? Very informative. Now you know exactly what to do to fix the copier.
You open the front of the copier and see a wad of papers jammed inside. You hurriedly rip them out and close the front. You slam the green button with your hand and try to restart the copier. You wait for a second as it sounds like it’s actually doing something. Then nothing happens except more hieroglyphics appear. The meeting is now starting and you’re stuck fighting with the copier.
Does this sound familiar? If it does, don’t let it ever happen again. Upgrade the office photocopier and upgrade the office printer. If you want to run a successful business, the last thing you want is to lose valuable time to frustration. New office equipment is much more dependable and reliable. You won’t be stuck trying to figure out what’s wrong with the equipment anymore.
In today’s competitive markets, it’s essential that you maximize every employee’s productivity. If you can effectively do that, it might be the difference between success and failure for your company.
